I saw it! I couldn’t help but think that it’s really funny that the villain is basically EA.
…and can confirm that the Chinese girl I was with didn’t get any of the references. Not the Star Trek funeral at the beginning, not the Iron Giant, not the Shining, and not even the god-damned DeLorean. I was afraid to ask about Gundam.
But she got the Buckaroo Banzai reference, right?
